Hi, I’m Caran. Welcome to Grow. Cook. Eat. Share. I started this blog because I want to chronicle my family’s recipes and experiences. The name of my blog pretty much sums up what I write about here. I love growing vegetables, growing up our four little sprouts, and growing personally in my character and my faith in Jesus. I really enjoy cooking, and it is one of the ways I express my love for my family. We cherish eating together, and sharing the abundance of our garden, our table, and our lives with the people around us.
Here is a little background on my journey up to this point. I became obsessed about food the year our first son was born. Until then, I saw cooking and eating as mere necessities. As I realized I wanted to feed my baby wholesome foods from my own kitchen, I began to experiment with new flavors, ingredients, and recipes. I found out that I loved to cook! I also began to appreciate gardening, eating locally, and buying responsibly.
In the ten years since, our family has grown to six, and feeding little mouths has added many challenges and recipes. Going gluten-free after years of chronic health problems, and restricting our grain and sugar intake, has also led our family to explore new and interesting food options. My goal is to provide whole, sustaining food to nourish my family. We have also recently purchased a small property and are working towards establishing an organic garden, orchard, and farm. I hope you enjoy following our family’s journey towards living a healthy and nourished life!
Sounds like you are on the right track! Thanks for liking my post, “Grandbaby’s Bottle Bowling.”
Thanks for the encouragement! I love hearing about ways to keep little ones entertained without the use of media or batteries!

What an amazing blog you have here Caran. I can definitely understand how an interest in food would come from having your own family… nutrition is so important for growing bodies and minds. I look forward to reading more of your work! Thanks for finding me so that I could find you too xx
Thanks for your kind words Laura! You’re blog has been such a treat to read in my newsfeed. Wishing you all the best in your amazing food journey!
